Ying Ho is an award-winning concert pianist who has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician across Australia, England, Europe, Israel, China and America. At home in Sydney, she appears regularly at the country's leading venues, including the Sydney Opera House, and has shared the stage with many of the finest artists in Australia and abroad.
Recent highlights include a Sydney Morning Masters concert and a regional tour for Musica Viva Australia. Her playing has been recognised by Limelight, Australia's classical music and arts magazine, whose five-star review described a recital with cellist Jonathan Békés as "extraordinary… a gift".
Ying is a recipient of the prestigious Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) International Scholarship, which took her from Sydney to London. She trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, and at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Chamber music sits at the heart of Ying's concert life. She collaborates frequently with cellist Jonathan Békés and performs as part of the Estivo Trio, with programmes ranging from the great duo sonatas to rarely heard trio repertoire. She has performed for presenters including Musica Viva Australia, and her ensemble performances can be heard on her YouTube channel.
Ying performs solo recitals, concertos with orchestra, duo and trio programmes, and guest festival appearances. She welcomes invitations from concert series, festivals, music clubs and private presenters - see the concert calendar for where to hear her next, or enquire about an engagement.
